New Partnership: Siam Piwat and Cathay Pacific Enhance Lifestyle Benefits for Members

Siam Piwat Group, a prominent real estate and retail developer, has joined forces with leading airline Cathay Pacific to provide increased lifestyle benefits to members of both VIZ and Cathay loyalty programs. This collaboration aims to strengthen Siam Piwat’s premium business ecosystem and enhance its ‘Inclusive Luxury Lifestyle Destination’ positioning.

Two-way VIZ Coins and Asia Miles Conversions

Starting from August 1, 2023, VIZ and Cathay members in Thailand will enjoy two-way conversions between VIZ coins and Asia Miles, the loyalty currencies for Siam Piwat and Cathay Pacific, respectively. This exchange will enable members to redeem rewards for shopping privileges at Siam Piwat malls and travel and lifestyle benefits with Cathay Pacific. The partnership will eventually expand to include members outside of Thailand.

To mark the launch, new members and those making their first conversions will receive additional benefits for a limited time. Furthermore, non-Thai Cathay Pacific members visiting Thailand can enjoy special tourist privileges at Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, ICONSIAM, and Siam Premium Outlets upon presenting their digital membership card, boarding pass, and passport.

Strengthening Retail and International Tourism

Siam Piwat’s Chief Customer Officer, Panthep Nilasinthop, highlighted the importance of collaborating with business partners to develop opportunities and drive sustainable growth. Siam Piwat’s data on consumer behavior shows that its customers are avid travelers, making the partnership with Cathay Pacific an ideal match. As a result, VIZ Coins and Cathay members can now transfer points and redeem products from famous brands in Siam Piwat’s shopping centers or ONESIAM SuperApp, offering over 20,000 products and services.

Cathay Pacific’s Regional General Manager for Southeast Asia and Southwest Pacific, Dominic Perret, emphasized the premium lifestyle experience of Cathay and its commitment to enhancing member experiences. The partnership with Siam Piwat will provide Cathay members an extensive range of lifestyle products and services at world-class shopping and dining destinations.

Annex A: Privilege Details

Two-way Coins/Miles Conversion Rates

  1. VIZ members: 300 VIZ Coins to 100 Asia Miles
  2. Cathay members in Thailand: 2,500 Asia Miles to 350 VIZ Coins (expanding to members outside Thailand, excluding UK and Europe, in a later phase)

Conversion Privileges (August 1, 2023 – September 30, 2023)

  1. First 1,000 VIZ customers converting to Asia Miles receive an extra 20% miles based on their first conversion.
  2. New VIZ members signing up for Cathay membership can earn up to 1,000 bonus miles.
  3. First 1,000 Cathay members converting miles to VIZ Coins receive a 10% VIZ Coins top-up.
  4. Top five customers with the highest VIZ Coins converted from Asia Miles (minimum 1,000 VIZ Coins) receive an extra 20,000 Asia Miles, equivalent to one Economy Class round-trip ticket from Bangkok to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific.

ONESIAM Malls and SuperApp Privileges (August 1, 2023 – July 31, 2024)

VIZ and Cathay members shopping at ONESIAM malls can receive:

  1. A 500 THB discount code for ONESIAM SuperApp with a minimum 1,000 THB single transaction.
  2. An extra 200 VIZ Coins for spending at least 1,000 THB at participating stores in a single day.
  3. A one-off free parking voucher (up to 8 hours) at ICONSIAM.
  4. Monthly special deals via ONESIAM SuperApp or at participating stores (limited to the first 10,000 VIZ and Cathay members).

Tourist Privileges (August 1, 2023 – July 31, 2024)

Non-Thai Cathay members visiting Thailand can enjoy the following privileges at Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, ICONSIAM, and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok:

  1. Tourist Privileges Card or Shopper Club with up to 30% discount at participating stores or up to 70% discount at Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok.
  2. SIAM GIFT CARD valued at 300 THB.
  3. An additional SIAM GIFT CARD valued at 1,000 THB with a minimum spend of 20,000 THB and presentation of receipt(s) at international tourist redemption counters.
  4. Welcome souvenir.
  5. Free access to the Tourist Service Center.
  6. Free Wi-Fi connection.
