On September 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., the Kwankhao Conference Hall of Phawana Phothikun Vocational College served as the venue for a united offering of forest robes, organized to support education charity initiatives. Among the attendees were Mr. Sutham Samthong, the Deputy Mayor of Koh Samui, acting on behalf of the Mayor of Koh Samui, along with the management team, members of the municipality council, heads of government departments, municipal officers, and the Street King group.
On September 22, 2013, at 09:00 am, the Municipal School 3 Samut Ram Temple in Lipa Noi subdistrict, Koh Samui district, hosted the opening ceremony of the Samut Ram Temple Academic Project for the academic year 2013. Mr. Pakorn Kanchanophat, the deputy mayor of Koh Samui, presided over the event, which brought together municipal council members, heads of government departments, school directors, teachers, educational personnel, students, and municipal staff.
On September 13, 2023, at 09:00 a.m., at Serm Suk Kindergarten, Bo Phut Subdistrict, Koh Samui District, Ms. Sermsuk Chuenban, Director of Serm Suk Kindergarten, presided over the opening ceremony of the Little Smiles Dental Health Project. The event was attended by the Health Security Fund Committee, teachers, students, dental staff from Bang Rak Health Service Center, municipal employees, and public health and environmental officials.
The Project Bunyarit: Beautiful Teeth, Wealthy Smiles is an initiative that focuses on improving dental health among students. Launched on September 11, 2023, the project is a collaboration between Wat Bunyaritaram School, the National Health Security Fund, Koh Samui Hospital, and the Koh Samui Municipality.
On September 8, 2023, at 9:30 am, Wat Kiriwongkaram School in Taling Ngam Subdistrict, Koh Samui District, hosted the opening ceremony of the Drug Abuse Prevention and Mitigation Project. Mr. Damrongpol Inthachan, the acting director of the school, presided over the event. The project aims to reach 250 students and young people, providing valuable resources and guidance.
The Diabetes and Hypertension Screening Project was launched on August 9, 2023, in collaboration with municipal employees and Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) from groups 15 in the Na Mueang Subdistrict. The project, spearheaded by Ms. Prida Sukkho, a professional nurse practitioner representing the Na Mueang Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital, aims to identify individuals at risk of developing diabetes and hypertension within the community.
On July 12, 2013, a group of Village Health Volunteers from Taling Ngam Subdistrict in Koh Samui, Thailand, joined hands to fight iodine deficiency diseases. This initiative, led by Anucha Sangsri, the Health Promotion Hospital director of Taling Ngam Subdistrict, aims to raise awareness and educate people about the importance of incorporating iodized salt into their daily diets.
