The Futsal Competition 2013 kicked off with a grand opening ceremony on September 8, 2013, at 19:30 hrs., at the Koh Samui Municipality Stadium in Phru Chaweng, Koh Samui District. Deputy Mayor of Koh Samui Municipality, Mr. Sutham Samthong, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by the municipality’s executive board, council members, municipal officials, representatives from the education office, members of the organizing committee, athletes, youth, and honored guests. Mr. Pakorn Kanchanopas, also a Deputy Mayor of Koh Samui Municipality, served as the chairman of the organizing committee and provided an overview of the competition.
