The Grand Collaboration
On September 9, 2023, at 3:00 pm, the Koh Samui Municipality teamed up with the Street King group for an unforgettable event. Top officials, community representatives, and members of the public gathered at Pier 1 (Lomprayah) in front of Thon to witness a remarkable display of over 50 supercars.
The event was a result of the collaboration between several organizations, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Koh Samui branch, the Koh Samui Tourism Promotion Association, and various government and private agencies.
A Parade of Luxury
The Koh Samui Street King event showcased an impressive lineup of more than 50 supercars, ranging from Lamborghini, Ferrari, and McLaren to Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Huracan, and Audi. The vehicles gathered on Koh Samui, providing an extraordinary spectacle for locals and visitors alike.
The Supercar parade circled around the Nathon market, allowing the public to admire the stunning vehicles up close. The cars then parked at Sunset Bend to promote tourism at this picturesque location, known for its breathtaking views.
Activities and Attractions
In addition to the Supercar parade, the event featured OTop product booths from various communities in front of Nathon, providing an opportunity for locals to showcase their unique products and talents.
Visitors were welcome to take photos with the supercars at Sunset Bend in front of Nathon until 6:30 pm. After that, the parade of luxury vehicles proceeded to Fisherman’s Village, where the public could continue to admire the cars and capture memorable photographs.
Boosting Koh Samui Tourism
The primary goal of the Koh Samui Street King event was to promote and stimulate the tourism economy of the Koh Samui district. Organizers aimed to highlight the region’s unique attractions and natural beauty under the concept of “Unseen Tourism Koh Samui.” Through events like this, the community hopes to establish Koh Samui as an attractive, sustainable, and livable destination for tourists and residents alike.
