The Tourism Authority of Thailand is once again organizing the “Establish Thailand to be Sustainable Tourism Destination” project. This initiative aims to promote sustainable tourism practices among entrepreneurs in the country, focusing on Kanchanaburi and Surat Thani (Koh Samui) this time.
How to Join the Project
Entrepreneurs interested in participating in the project must follow these steps:
- Fill out the application form: Complete the application form on Google Forms here.
- Upload required documents: After submitting the application form, participants will receive a Google Drive link via email to upload necessary documents.
- Selection of participants: The project organizers will announce the selected participants who will proceed to the next phase.
- Participate in Low-Carbon Tourism Camp: Selected participants will attend a training and workshop to learn about low-carbon tourism practices.
- Receive a certificate: At the end of the camp, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
- Carbon Footprint calculation and guide: Participants will also get their carbon footprint calculated and receive a guide on how to reduce it.
Application Requirements
Applicants need to provide photos of fuel and electricity bills for all 12 months of 2022 (January to December). They can attach these documents when filling out the application form via Google Drive.
Application Deadline and Event Dates
Entrepreneurs can apply for the project until September 15, 2023, free of charge. The Low-Carbon Tourism Camp will take place on the following dates:
- Kanchanaburi: September 29, 2023
- Surat Thani (Koh Samui): October 4, 2023
