On August 24, 2013, at 09:00 a.m., the opening ceremony of the Community Committee Training Project in Community Administration and Management for the year 2013 took place at the International College of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, Bo Phut Subdistrict, Ko Samui. Mr. Suthum Samthong, Deputy Mayor of Ko Samui City, acted on behalf of the Mayor of Ko Samui City.
