Police in Pattaya are searching for a man caught on video holding a group of foreign tourists at gunpoint at the Sor Thor Ro 5 hill viewpoint. The 99-second video shows the gunman, who appears to be of foreign descent, aged 20-30 years, and about 170 centimeters tall, threatening around 20 men of Middle-Eastern appearance. He ordered them to sit down next to each other while wielding a pistol.

Gunman’s Appearance and Behavior

The suspect was seen wearing a black shirt and black trousers. He pointed his weapon at the head of one man while giving orders. The footage, which seems to have been recorded with a handheld device, possibly a phone, was posted on the Siamchonnews website without a given source. The incident is believed to have taken place in the morning.

Police Investigation Underway

Pattaya police chief Pol Col Thanapong Phothi led investigators to the scene on Wednesday. They have been examining surveillance camera recordings from the area and questioning local vendors. The authorities are also trying to locate the threatened tourists.
