The Arrest of Three Suspects

The Thai police have successfully apprehended three Colombian nationals, two men and one woman, who were allegedly involved in a series of burglaries in luxury homes across Samut Prakan and nearby provinces. Identified as Alexandro Giovan Cuellar Pulido, Henry Yeferson Delgado Bogota, and Maricela Cifuentes Hernandez, these suspects were arrested following the issuance of arrest warrants by the Samut Prakan Provincial Court for collusion in theft.

Tracing the Crime Spree

The investigation began when a report was filed about a home break-in at a luxurious housing estate in tambon Bang Muang of Muang district, Samut Prakan. The incident occurred around 10:45 pm on August 29th. The burglars managed to force open a safe located in a bedroom on the second floor, making away with 200,000 baht in cash, US$500, 50,000 rupees, gold necklaces, gold rings, and a diamond-studded necklace worth about 500,000 baht.

Analyzing Security Footage

Police analyzed security camera footage from the housing estate and discovered that the Colombian gang had broken into another house the same night before targeting the house with the safe. They struck again on September 2nd, breaking into two other houses in an area under the jurisdiction of Bang Kaew station in Samut Prakan.

Tracking Down the Culprits

The investigation led the police to identify the three Colombian suspects. They had been renting a house in Chon Buri province and traveling from there to stage burglaries in Samut Prakan and neighboring provinces before returning to Chon Buri. On September 8th, investigators learned that the gang was planning another break-in in Pathum Thani province. Officers monitored their movements and were able to arrest them.

Seized Items and Evidence

Following the arrest, the police confiscated a Toyota Vios with Chon Buri license plates, two Prachuap Khiri Khan license plates, burglary tools, beanie hats, banknotes worth 32,700 baht, foreign currency banknotes, and 100 other items. The burglary tools and other seized items were handed over to Muang police in Samut Prakan for further investigation.

A Success for Thai Law Enforcement

The quick action taken by the Thai police to apprehend these foreign suspects highlights their commitment to maintaining safety and security for all residents, including those living in luxury homes. With this arrest, the affected communities can now breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that the criminals responsible for the burglaries have been brought to justice.
