Introduction

The Exercise Project: Aerobic Dance for Health was inaugurated on September 13, 2023, at Wat Buntharikaram School in Bo Phut Subdistrict, Koh Samui District. The event aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among students by providing them with an opportunity to engage in proper aerobic dance exercises. The project was attended by teachers, students, municipal employees, and public health and environmental officials.

Benefits of Aerobic Dance

Aerobic dance is an enjoyable and dynamic form of exercise that helps improve cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and overall well-being. It encourages students to confidently express themselves, make productive use of their free time, and develop a positive attitude towards exercising. The primary goal of the Exercise Project is to maintain a strong and healthy body for students while participating in appropriate aerobic dance exercises.

Project Structure and Schedule

The aerobic dance sessions are scheduled to be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 15:30 to 16:30 for ten weeks. Instructors lead the initial sessions, ensuring students learn the right techniques and movements. After the initial ten weeks, student representatives will take over and lead the exercise sessions during the same time in the evening.

Support from the Health Security Fund

Koh Samui Municipality’s Health Security Fund recognizes the importance of this project and supports its organization to achieve the goals set forth. The fund aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.

By providing students with the opportunity to engage in aerobic dance and other healthy activities, the Exercise Project: Aerobic Dance for Health is a positive step towards promoting a healthier future for the students and the community at large.
